Crochet, art and solidarity

Few months ago, while looking for some interesting open calls I came through the instagram page of Pyramid Arts asking for granny square crochet for a project.

Being a crochet lady myself it naturally captured my attention.

The project was to gather as many squares as possible to create a "crochet fort" for an immersive exhibition at Sunny bank mills.

Crochet and art, what a beautiful combo.

So somewhere along other crochet donators there is my square!

Pyamid arts is a Leeds art collective and charity investing in people with a learning disability through the discovery, development and disruption of the art.

The exhibition runs from 4th July – 27th September 2026 at Sunny Bank Mills
