I draw landscapes because nature is where I feel deeply connected to what’s around me. It makes me feel alive.
And therefore I treat nature as the main character in the picture. My drawings are a creative response to my own observations and experience in local sceneries.
I employ subtle tones and restrain the use of colour to create the feeling of a landscape seen through a filtered lens.
Instead of recreating exactly what I see I will search for an ambience and build the reminder of a place that will bring me back to the original site.
In a fusion of visual memory, on site sketches, pictures and interpretation I render shapes and light found in situ with dynamic and intuitive colour pencil marks.
