Celebrating nature with a colourful new paintings series

I always loved viewing the arrival of summer as a time for pause and reflexion, only this time is filled with lots of anxiety regarding the situation in France.

At this time of the year the sun becomes a paticularly temperamental friend, and nature reminds us that it is the one in charge.

When I created this series during the warmest days of spring, I didn't anticipate the nostalgic memories if this season would hit so hard.

Now in the middle of summer it feels even more precious to watch the sun rise efore it becomes almost impossible to go outdoors, and stay in the dark most of the day for some coolness.

Some areas in the garden are now very dried, looking so different and make me miss the gorgeous lighting we had just few weeks ago, not worrying about what might happen for the rest of the day.
