I always loved viewing the arrival of summer as a time for pause and reflection. The mornings are refreshing, and th ebees are our only companions, already hard at work.
Symbolically, the seeds sown earlier in the year have borne fruits, making this the perfect time to celebrate the work accomplished.
When I created this painting, the garden was adorned in shades of mauve and orange, a highly inspiring colourful duel between the irises and the calendulas.
